Remember when artist use to make art, just for the joy of making art?... those were certainly the days huh? lol

It's a real shame we've reached this point of rampant commercialism within the Size Art community, somehow we live in a day-in-age where no artist wants to just create and share their art for the joy of creating and sharing, so now everyone's using their DA accounts as nothing more than advertising space for their patreons.

Well, Sorry to all the Patreon users out there, but I'm not rich. Just like the over abundance of streaming platforms, me(and many others), just cant afford to be subscribed to all of you, so if I suddenly stop fallowing you on there(patreon) or here(DA), its nothing personal. it just means you or circumstances have priced you out of my budget, or it just means i think you're a sellout and don't respect you anymore. . . . Hmmm, Maybe you should take it personally actually. XD

I honestly think its just the modern world we live in. No one wants to go to work anymore. everyone wants to be "Internet Famous" and make that big "Internet Money". These same people then want to complain about everyplace they go being understaffed, and just cant understand why its taking so long to get their bigmac. lol

Problem is for every one or two talented artist on Patreon, Youtube, and TickTock, there's like 50.000 lazy hacks that think playing a video game on Twitch is a day at the office.(sorry ladies, but hot tub streams are not a skill)

Well, for whatever it may be worth. I will continue to post my stuff here, and I will also continue to keep my comic prices low so folks in my tax bracket can see some size content too. lol

The Second thing I wanted to say is I don't know what DA is doing with my prices. When i set my old comics down to 1$ for mothers day For some reason DA added 25 cents to the price.

And now that I'm trying to sell this new comic for 5$ DA has increased the price to 6.25$, SO to any of you that are interested, I suggest buying it on my Gumroad store(link above) and saving yourself a buck n a quarter..

Second, I'm not sure why DA is messing with my prices.

When I lowered my old comics prices to 1.00$ for Mothers Day DA added 0.25 cents for some reason, and now When i set the price of this new comic to 5.00$ DA raised the price to 6.25..

I don't know what DA's damage is, but if you want The Collide, I strongly recommend buying it from my Gumroad store(link above) rather than here, and save yourself a dollar and a quarter.

I will be moving all my comics to Gumroad and that probably where ny new stuff will be launched from, from now on..

OK, so right out of the gate, I have a brand new short comic releasing tomorrow.

This new project is called "The Collide" and plays around with theories like String theory and the Mandela effect as it's about a young couple that find they have slipped from their own version of earth into one where everything is the same, except for a couple of teeny tiny differences like the fact that in this version of earth someone else is renting their apartment, oh and everything in this new world is scaled up by like 1600% making them roughly the size of insects...

This is a fun little concept i been playing around with for a while, and will probably be making more short little comics/stories about in the future... We'll see.

Also, today I have combined "Vanessa's Inpatient" chapters 1 and 2 into one product costing 3 American Dollars.

But wait, there's more. I have also finally stopped dragging my feet and opened a Gumroad store and I will soon be hosting my products there because frankly selling things on here is kinda awful.

Funfact some of you may not know is once a sale is made here on DA, they hold those funds for 14 days before you can actually retrieve them(fun), so don't be shocked if you see me and many other artist abandoning this place as a way to sell vs just putting up a link to our gumroad stores.

I'm in my mid-late 30s, so Being a Liberal has changed A LOT from when I was younger. like in just the last 10 years I shifted politically from from identifying as a Liberal to considering my self a "Classic Democrat" or a "Left Leaning Moderate". Not because I changed, but because Liberalism has moved into a very extrema direction that I just couldn't in good sense fallow anymore.

back during the G.W. Bush administration I fought the good fight.

I made my opinions heard, and stood in the picket lines fighting for the rights of the LGBTQ+ community to be allowed to get married, adopt children, and honestly just for them to be left alone to pursue their own personal "American Dream".

Having a gay older brother made this fight a personal one to me. Maybe even going so far as to call it a crusade.

I do have a lot of Right minded Opinions having been raised in a very very rural small town. Hunting and fishing was a large part of my upbringing, so I not only don't fear guns, but i was raised around them, enjoy shooting them, and am a paid member of the NRA. Also being raised Roman Catholic I believing that Abortion is murder.

But despite that, I still voted for Obama in 2012, Sanders in 2016, and Biden in 2020.

This political duality of thinking that I have however does put me at odds with Liberals a lot. Like A LOT, LOT... My most egregious problems with them tends to stem from the blinders they like to wear to Racism, sexism, bigotry, and religious persecutions directed at Straight White Cis Male Christians.

My problem being that unlike them, I am Against ALL FORMS or Racism, Sexism, Bigotry, and religious discrimination. I don't just go along with what's popular that week in order to Look Woke. I actually give a fuck....

And I can not stand Cancel Culture. more to the point, I HAAAATE arguing with a Liberal on the topic of Cancel Culture..

Look, I agree that The Washington RedSkins was something that ACTUALLY needed to go.

We couldn't have a team called the New York N-Words, right?... Well by my understanding, this was the exact same thing.

Redskin is a racial slur against Native Americans, so its more than just a little fucked up to have a team named the redskins..

That said though. adding Triger Warnings to the beginnings of old movies or censoring them outright is horse shit, Censoring peoples speech, goes against the first amendment of the constitution(YES, the first amendment is more important to me than your feelings), and people that want to over analyze the words to old songs, dig up 5+ year old tweets to suddenly be offended by, and/or disgrace important historical figures by holding them up to todays standards rather than understanding the context of what was acceptable to back when they were alive. those motherfuckers are just looking for a reason to be outraged.

What's most hilarious to me is when cancel culture says something stupid like "This movie from the 70s has a naughty stereotype in it, so it needs to be censored."

You(a sane person with a normal functioning brain) replies with "Really? Why does this even matter? this movie is over 40 years old."

and they call YOU the snowflake.

That's 100% just them gaslighting. Deep down, they know you're not a snowflake. they know damn'well that the ACTUAL Snowflake is the one that called the 40+ year old movie "Problematic" in the first place, but they have an agenda of censorship to push, and they cant have you sane people messing things up with your Logic, and you Facts.. lol

Anyway though. that's all I really had to say..

Thankfully, Hollywood and and the Video Games industry is coming round and realizing that there's no money "Being Woke" and the vast majority of not only Americans, but the world as a whole are pretty sick of the woke-scolds calling us all "Just like Hitler" all the time, so they're starting to pull back from that stupid shit.

Well, unless they say something that offends the Chinese Government, then the whole world needs to bend the knee, but that's a topic for another time. lol
